Here in Hawaii it’s so common for locals to ask each other, “Where did you go to high school?” or, “Where you grad?” Well, whatever Hawaii high school is your alma mater, you can help them earn college scholarships for their seniors! Foodland’s Shop for Higher Education is one of my favorite community programs because together with the help of our customers and vendors, 100+ high school seniors can pursue their dreams of furthering their education.
If you haven’t already designated a participating Hawaii high school at checkout, this is your reminder to hurry and do so because Shop for Higher Education ends on March 29! Just tell your cashier what Hawaii high school you want to support. It’s as easy as that! After designating a school, the Maika`i points you earn by shopping through March 29 will be given to you as well as your designated school. The more points the school earns, the more scholarships it receives!
Foodland will award at least 100 students each $2,000 scholarships to attend the university or 4-year college of their choice. Since we started this program 6 years ago, more than $1.5 million in scholarships has been awarded! Click here to learn more!
By the way, “Where you grad?”
