Roy’s Dynamite Oysters
Another of Roy's excellent seafood recipes!
Ingredients
- Oysters
- 2 oysters on the half shell, cleaned
- 2 tablespoons shoyu
- 0.5 teaspoon hot sesame oil
- 0.5 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 cup Hawaiian salt
- Stuffing
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 2 teaspoons furikake
- 0.5 pound medium shrimp, cooked and diced
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions
Oysters
- Preheat broiler.
- Place oysters in a baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix shoyu, hot sesame oil and rice wine vinegar.
- Drizzle over oysters and set aside.
Stuffing
- In a bowl, combine all of the above ingredients for stuffing and mix well.
- Stuff oysters evenly.
- Place baking pan on the top rack of the oven.
- Broil for three minutes.
- Remove and place on a platter of Hawaiian salt.
- Garnish with tobiko, radish sprouts or pickled ginger.
